Nissan adds some hot new rides to 2011 lineup

August 11, 2010 Featured No Comments

Some say that baseball is America’s favorite pastime and that most little boys would rather steal second base than an automobile. That may be the case unless the automobile in question is one of Nissan’s hot new rides from the 2011 lineup. On deck are the latest additions to the Nissan family, the 2011 Leaf and the 2011 Juke, which are scheduled to hit your local Nissan Chicago dealer in the near future.

Nissan covered all the bases with the 2011 Nissan Leaf, which will be one of the first mass-produced, all-electric vehicles on the market when debuts at the end of 2010. The 5-door, 5-seat compact hatchback’s electric motor allows it to reach a city EPA estimated fuel economy of 51 mpg making it ideal for Chicago natives to navigate around the city.

The Leaf’s highway efficiency is optimal for Libertyville residents and other suburban dwellers who have to commute to and from the city each day. The car is capable of reaching speeds up to 90 mph and has a drive range of 100 miles when fully charged. Such an extensive drive range is estimated to be sufficient for 95% of those who commute and can be charged to 80% capacity in a mere 30 minutes for those who have longer commutes.

It’s a whole new ballgame with the 2011 Nissan Juke, which is scheduled to hit your Nissan Chicago dealer in the spring of 2011. The 4-door hatchback’s direct injection 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine delivers 180 horsepower and impressive performance that is usually only experienced with high end, premium vehicles. The Juke manages to exert the power of a larger engine while retaining the fuel efficiency of a smaller engine with a combined city highway EPA estimated 30 mpg.

Nissan threw a curve ball with the unique and dramatic design of the Juke. The Juke’s turn signals placed on the front fenders, large wheel arches and an overall broad figure comprise a comprehensive, bold style that complements the car’s interior. The driver-focused cabin is dominated by a wide dashboard with sporty odometers and a gearshift placed on top of the center console which also contributes to a sport car like design. The Juke’s interior is finished in a high-gloss, two-coat paint which brings perfect balance and harmony to the car’s overall design.

As these vehicles arrive at your local Nissan dealership, Chicago residents will be stunned at ultra low price tags these vehicles will wear. Nissan has steered clear of playing hardball with the cost of these cars, with the Leaf starting as low as $32,780 and the Juke at $17,700. In addition to the money the Leaf would save you on gas, it’s already affordable price tag is eligible for a $7,500 tax credit from the federal government which would come to a total of only $25,280. Touch base with your local Nissan Chicago dealer for more information on Nissan’s new 2011 models.
